Our first Mourvèdre!
Light, elegant with herbal aromas accompanied by pomegranate and raspberry notes and subtle hint of herbs on the palate.
Unlike many examples of Mourvèdre, this one does not have heavy tannins and so can pair pretty well with most meat dishes or perhaps roasted vegetables.
Mourvèdre is often seen in GSM (Grenache/Syrah/Mourvèdre) Rhone Blends. You've experienced the blend of Grenache and Syrah in our popular Le Chaland Red Wine Blend but here we have Mourvèdre on its own. For those that like a lighter red, this is a great option and a good alternative to Pinot Noir.
Aged in a blend of new and neutral French oak.
