Aromas of cedar, Italian herbs and surprisingly, lemon cake. Full-bodied flavors of blackberry and blackcurrant with an unexpected citrus zest and a dry finish.
Great with everyday meals but particularly roasted meats and stews as well as some spicy dishes. Pairs well with semi-hard, hard and smoked cheeses and suprisingly, blue cheese.
This was our first time harvesting Syrah from Russian River Valley instead of Amador County. It's definitely different with more herbal and citrus notes - a very elegant wine.
